Clifford Attractor
The Clifford map x -> sin(a y) + c cos(a x), y -> sin(b x) + d cos(b y) iterated forward and accumulated as a density histogram over 315 million points. The four constants were found by search, screened first on the Lyapunov exponent to reject fixed points and limit cycles, then scored on fractal dimension and smoothness. Brightness is the log of the point density and hue is the orbit's mean local speed in each bin, so slow dense folds go teal and fast sweeps go rose.
