Gap Labels

The Harper equation solved at every rational magnetic flux with denominator up to 210. Flux runs up the frame and energy runs across it. The white bands are the allowed spectrum and the dark regions between them are the gaps. Every gap takes its colour from its integer Chern number, fixed by the Diophantine equation r = q s + p t.
