Newton Fractal
Newton's method applied to p(z) = z^12 + 2.2 z^5 + 1, framed on the interior bloom at width 2.2. The derivative p'(z) = z^4 (12 z^7 + 11) has a fourfold zero at the origin and seven simple zeros on a ring, so a fourfold core sits inside a ring of seven blooms while the far field stays twelvefold. Brightness follows the smoothed step count and even and odd basins take separate indigo and aubergine ramps.
