Copper Ember Starburst

Newton's method applied to f(z) = 4z^11 + 3z^7 - 2z^3 - 5. The origin is a critical point of the map, since f'(z) = 44z^10 + 21z^6 - 6z^2 vanishes there, and it renders as an eleven-armed starburst placed on the upper third of the frame. Colour follows the smoothed step count on a single copper ramp, with each basin offset a few percent in luminance so the sectors read at different depths.
