Expiz Tilt Starfield
Newton Fractal
Newton's method applied to f(z) = exp(iz) - z. The exponential rotates instead of growing, so the poles of the Newton map are all real and sit on a 2 pi lattice while the roots run off in a descending arc, and the frame is set on two periods of the pole row. Deep in the lower half plane the step tends to -i, so orbits crawl back up by exactly one unit per iteration and the beaded trails are that crawl. Colour follows the smoothed step count with the root index steering hue.
