The Burning Ship map z -> (|Re z| + i|Im z|)^2 + c iterated over the parameter plane, framed at c = -1.851 - 0.027i with half-width 0.025. Hue rides the smooth escape count, which is the equipotential, and luminance rides a stripe average of sin(k arg z) taken over the whole orbit, which is the field line. The N-term and N-1 term averages are blended by the fractional part of the count so the escape-time cells do not print as hard arcs through the drapery.
