Flame Lattice

The Burning Ship map z -> (|Re z| + i|Im z|)^2 + c iterated in the dynamical plane at fixed c = -1.7556 + 0.0028i, just outside the ghost-ship island, so the set has no interior and the whole frame is filigree. The fold discards the signs of the real and imaginary parts independently, giving an exact Klein four-group of symmetries, so one quadrant is iterated and mirrored. Luminance is a distance estimate carried in the log domain, with the ramps quoted against a fixed fraction of the window.
