Hoarfrost Mast Dust

The Burning Ship map z -> (|Re z| + i|Im z|)^2 + c iterated in the dynamical plane at fixed c = -1.7735 - 0.0900i, in the clear sky just above the flagship's mast tips. The critical orbit escapes in ten iterations, so the Julia set is a totally disconnected dust. Brightness comes from two periodic fields rather than from the distance estimate alone, contour shells in the log distance and laminae in the smooth escape count, which is what ribs the crystals.
