Obsidian Mask

The perpendicular variant z -> (|Re z| - i Im z)^2 + c iterated over the parameter plane, framed on the real-axis antenna at Re c = -1.75585 with half-width 0.027. Conjugating the fold makes the map exactly mirror-symmetric about Im c = 0, so the frame is turned a quarter turn to stand that axis vertical and only the upper half is computed and reflected. Luminance is an exterior distance estimate and the body tone is stretched from a minimum-|z| orbit trap.
