Spectral Fans

The Burning Ship map z -> (|Re z| + i|Im z|)^2 + c iterated over the parameter plane, framed wide on the main ship. Hue is the escape angle frac(arg z_N / pi + 1/2) on a cyclic twelve-hue table. The fold puts every iterate in the upper half plane, so the angle spans only [0, pi] and one full spectrum falls in each decomposition cell. The escape radius is held at 30, which cuts the on-screen cell count about thirteenfold and opens the fans to readable width.
