Solar Plumes

The Burning Ship map z -> (|Re z| + i|Im z|)^2 + c iterated over the parameter plane, framed at c = -1.67372 - 0.02040i with half-width 0.0118 on one slender mast of the north-east plume field. Hue runs on the smooth escape count from white-hot crevices out through yellow, orange, red and magenta to a violet corona. Luminance is the exterior distance estimate from the log-scaled Jacobian, and the field lines are a windowed |Im z| orbit trap on their own exterior gate.
